41% Of Workers Plan To Quit : Procurement Recruitment Tips

James Dobbin, Director of Procurement Heads’ Financial & Professional Services sector offering, shares his thoughts on the recent news that 41% of workers plan to quit.

41% of workers plan to quit.

That’s according to a new piece from Forbes.

What impact will this have on the procurement recruitment market?

A “mass talent exodus” will only make it trickier for organisations looking to hire at a time when there is still a huge demand for talent.

The best candidates will be able to cherry-pick the opportunity that entices them the most. Don’t overlook any marginal gains your recruitment campaign can deliver: for instance, retaining a professional recruitment consultancy to show the talent market you place value on the best recruitment process

Contractors are in high demand as organisations look for a Plan B when their Plan A for permanent hiring doesn’t yield the desired results. This is something our Interim team is seeing at Procurement Heads, and my colleague Jack Birch shared his thoughts on the reasons behind the demand for interim procurement and supply chain talent recently – you can read Jack’s interim recruitment blog here.

The London procurement recruitment market is still very active – with Procurement Heads currently working on a variety of opportunities across the capital.

Now is not the time to freeze hiring processes – people are an organisation’s greatest asset, pausing recruitment campaigns frequently leads to losing a competitive advantage which can, in turn, impact growth and the innovation mindset

Read the full article from Forbes, my colleague Jack Birch’s thoughts on the interim market and Rupert Gaster’s thoughts on hiring freezes via the links in my comments.
