Spend Matters analysts are currently at SAP Spend Connect Live, an event to showcase SAP’s spend management and business network solutions, innovations and customer success stories, currently taking place in Dallas, Texas. VP of Research, Nick Heinzmann, Managing Director, strategic research and development, Pierre Mitchell, and Senior Analyst P2P and advisor Xavier Olivera are there to take part in the event where SAP is rounding up innovations, milestones and areas of focus in spend management.
Today, Spend Matters’ Pierre Mitchell is speaking at a panel session about preparing for procurement’s success in 2023. SAP has already declared category management the foundation of effective procurement strategy. The company said the critical role procurement plays in business will continue to increase as the need for digital category management and procurement strategies also grows.
“Research like this and input from our ongoing conversations with customers validate and guide our strategy and product road map,” said Muhammad Alam, president and chief product officer, Intelligent Spend and Business Network, SAP. “We are increasing our focus and investment in developing solutions that will help our customers truly digitalize category management to turn data into insights that can lead to improved business outcomes.”
Also at the conference, one of the main points under discussion is the expanded partnership between SAP Ariba and Icertis solutions. Through tighter integrations, the two companies hope to help customers with a wider range of contract management scenarios. The two companies hope that the tighter integration will provide improved collaboration, an enhanced user experience as well as flexible and streamlined contract management processes.
Users can also now replicate contract workspaces from SAP Ariba solutions into Icertis, initiate contract authoring in Icertis for contract workspaces originating in SAP Ariba solutions and manage contract amendment processes more efficiently.
SAP Central Procurement also announced the new availability of a private cloud for the solution. The addition will allow customers to manage what’s happening across their business without the need for multiple different systems or disrupting existing solutions and workflows they may already have.
The event continues into Oct 26 — For a full roundup of SAP’s latest innovations and details of milestones for spend management read the press release for SAP Spend Connect Live here.
